wallpaper

before...
Yesterday Annie McIntyre and I got started on removing the wallpaper from a bedroom of their new home here in Port Macquarie. I quite enjoy the process - the satisfaction of getting a big strip - but I had no idea how time-consuming it really is.

After 2-and-a-half hours of work, and having only stripped one wall, we decided that wallpaper should definately be made illegal!

It's a very lovely house, with fantastic views north over the ocean and the mountains. Once all the work is done it will be a wonderful home. It's great having Annie, Jim, Tait and Alice here in PMQ.

...and after.

i hate to say it, and i know you've done the right thing...but i love the look of that wallpaper...maybe it's the dark pocillovy side of me coming out...? a
i agree anita, the wallpaper is great! you'd pay a lot for that here. its the trend at the moment, that kind of thing.
but, i'm sure the place will look fantastic - their last place was amazing.
personally, i wouldn't want to live with that wallpaper.. too busy. well done with all your stripping!.. of wallpaper of course! becca
Yes, I agree- that dark, pocillovy sort of wallpaper needs to be in a house like the Clapham rectory - lots of grandfather clocks, etc, to set it off.
Here's the real test: what does Eddie think of it?
when he wakes up i will prop him up to the computer screen to get his response
