PS -A correction on yesterdays blog: It was 43 DEGREES! here in Port yesterday! That was the hottest recorded in all Australia!

Christmas Eve!

Christmas Eve and 38 degrees! Nothing for it but to head to the beach! I love living in Port Macquarie on days like this and Shelleys is beautiful. I'm heading off to our Christmas Eve service soon. We've had carols playing all day (including "Switched on Christmas" - remember that?!). I'm loving having an Australian Christmas again.

Here are some snaps from my recent 30th birthday. I had a wonderful evening celebrating with friends and family (hosted by Mum and Dad - thanks!). In fact it became a wonderful weekend as my dear friends Barb, Poppy (with Eva) and Kate drove up from Sydney for the weekend to surprise me. What great friends! Sylvia made the amazing cake. Delicious too!

Welcome to my Blog! It's becoming the Jones thing to do so I thought I'd join in. And I'm just starting my Summer holidays so I've got time for this sort of thing.

It's wonderful to finish the school year and prepare for Christmas - my first Christmas in Australia for a few years, which I'm looking forward to very much.

This will do for now. It's going to take a while to get the hang of this...
