mike and libby's wedding

Yesterday I had a lovely day in Coffs Harbour for Mike Brewer and Libby's wedding. It was glorious weather and the happy couple looked gorgeous (Libby's dress was incredible!!). The ceremony and reception were very relaxed and joyful - lots of fun. I had a great time catching up the Mahers (see me with Zoe in the pics), Helen and Charles Brewer, and friends from my Sydney church (where Mike and Libby met).

I went walking with Dad on his day off last week - in Lake Innes Nature Reserve, south of Port Macquarie. It was very beautiful. These pics give you a bit of an idea. I do love living in such a beautiful part of the world. (Even if I miss the great galleries and night life I view on others' blogs!)

I've just helped Mum create her own blog (see grettajones.blogspot.com) and it reminded me that I've been neglecting my own. So here I am right now...

Aunty Rachel

In January I had the great pleasure of being Aunt Rachel in person - not just on the telephone - to my gorgeous nieces and nephew. Little Eddie was here with Anita for only 2 days - long enough to have lots of cuddles, take him for his first dip in the ocean, and resume my job of nail-cutting. Eowyn and Coco were here with Megan for 4 weeks - long enough for cuddles, swims, stories, songs, dancing, laughs, tears, blueberry-picking-picnics and lots of parties! It was so wonderful really getting to know my dear nieces and become known by then. The goodbyes were too sad. Now we're back to phone calls again.
